This internal achievement standard looks at the Level 3 contemporary geographic issue of human trafficking – the issue, the various viewpoints, evaluating courses of action and making a justified recommendation.

It investigates the escalating criminal enterprise of sexual exploitation – Human Trafficking – with a particular focus on the trafficking of women and children for the global sex industry.

Use as a standalone assessment which gives students a broader concept of Geography

NEW internal Unit Standard 11084 (L3) ‘Blood Diamond’

  • Assess a work of fiction from a geographic perspective
  • This unit standard complements very well with the global topic AS90707   ‘Diamonds are Forever’ which would be a valuable study so students become familiar with the issue of the Diamond Trade
